Byungwook Kang

Born in Seoul, Byungwook Kang studied industrial design at SADI(Samsung Art and Design Institute). After graduation, he worked at Samsung Electronics as an industrial designer for 4 years, experiencing the global brand’s culture and the process from product strategy to production as the in-house team. He designed consumer audio and display systems as well as diverse home lifestyle products that brought commercial success to the electronics giant. Byungwook joined BEBOP in January 2020, and is currently leads the team as a partner and creative director. Based on his experience of different characters between an in-house design team and an independent design studio, he explores designs that combines efficiency and sustainability with emotional storytelling.
